Everything Rockstar has actually confirmed about GTA 6

3 min readJuly 20, 2026

The volume of GTA 6 content online is now large enough that the confirmed facts are harder to find than the fabrications. This page is the antidote: a running list of what is actually established, and an equally explicit list of what isn't.

Last verified: July 20, 2026.

Confirmed

Release date — November 19, 2026. Announced on the Rockstar Newswire after the game moved from its earlier window (Rockstar Newswire).

Platforms — PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. No PC version has been announced, and no PC release date exists in any official communication.

Editions and pricing — two, and only two.

  • Standard Edition: $79.99
  • Ultimate Edition: $99.99

A Standard-to-Ultimate upgrade path exists after launch. There is no announced Collector's Edition.

Pre-orders opened June 25, 2026 (Rockstar Newswire).

Physical copies are a code in a box. There is no disc. Boxes hit retail shelves November 12 so buyers can redeem and pre-load ahead of launch day.

Digital pre-load begins November 12, 2026 — one week before launch.

Pre-order bonuses. Every pre-order includes the Vintage Vice City Pack. Digital pre-orders additionally include one free month of GTA+.

Single-player at launch. The online component is not shipping day one.

FiveM is the only sanctioned GTA multiplayer platform as of September 1, 2026, following Take-Two enforcement that closed alt:V (July 6) and requires RAGE:MP servers offline by August 31 (GTA BOOM). We covered what that means in the FiveM piece.

NoPixel 5 will ship via the Rockstar Games Launcher, no separate FiveM install — confirmed by Rockstar (TweakTown).

Take-Two reports Q1 FY27 earnings August 7, 2026, 8:00 AM ET, before market open — the first report since pre-orders opened (GTA BOOM).

Not confirmed

Everything below is repeated constantly and confirmed by nobody. Labels are ours.

●rumor — Trailer 3 on August 7. Sourced to insider speculation around the earnings date. No Rockstar statement. Our read on it.

●rumor — PC port around end of 2027. Widely assumed based on the GTA V precedent. Zero official basis.

●rumor — a disc-based physical release later. Circulating for a December 2026 window. Unconfirmed.

●rumor — Project ROME as GTA 6's creation engine. Dataminer-sourced (Tez2), and confirmed only in a GTA V context (Vice). Nothing ties it to GTA 6.

●reported — Rockstar unionization and possible labor action. The recognition request and Rockstar's response are real and sourced (Kotaku). Any resulting delay is speculation — no delay has been announced.

●rumor — Collector's Edition. No announcement.
